DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The UW Medicine Supply Chain team directly supports the UW Medicine patient care mission through effective sourcing and distribution operations. The quality coordinator role improves the supply chain performance by measuring key processes, identifying improvements, and tracking change.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

The supply chain quality coordinator role is responsible for supporting the supply chain quality program to ensure that operational performance matches expectation. This role will understand the supply chain value stream, perform process audits, manage the policy update program, and advise leaders on best practice.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain a process audit schedule with the supply chain leadership team
  • Work with local departmental leaders to review a process flow, document the actual outcome, and provide a performance to expectation assessment
  • Issue non-conformities based on process observation, monitors non-conformity action plans, and partners with leaders on follow-up audits
  • Document audit progress and results to share with organizational leadership
  • Manage the UW Medicine supply chain policy and procedure database and ensure that the documents are updated according to organization standards
  • Provide upstream/downstream process recommendations based on experience and exposure to multiple workflows

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience in Healthcare supply chain, OR general supply chain quality programs
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
