Job description

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and student-focused Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Science to join our Social Work and Health Care Apprenticeships team at University College Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in the development and delivery of our Paramedic Science apprenticeship provision.

You will help ensure that the provision remains professionally relevant and meets academic, regulatory and apprenticeship requirements, including off-the-job training, progress monitoring and preparation for Apprenticeship Assessment or End-Point Assessment, where applicable.

You will design and deliver engaging, inclusive and innovative learning, including simulation and digital learning, and provide high-quality academic and pastoral support throughout the apprentice journey. As an AC3 Senior Lecturer, you will also contribute to programme leadership, quality enhancement and the monitoring of apprentice engagement, retention, progression, achievement and satisfaction.

You will have experience of leading learning, teaching and assessment, developing curriculum and working effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to provide guidance and support to colleagues, contribute to continuous improvement and build productive relationships with employers, practice partners and professional bodies.
