The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Oncology (according to experience).

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, world-renowned oncology service, providing medical oncology expertise in the School s Hospital for Small Animals, as well as the delivery and assessment of our BVM&S undergraduate degree programme and postgraduate training and education programmes. You will be working alongside other Diplomates in Small Animal Oncology and Radiation Oncology, five medical oncology (and one radiation oncology) residents, one oncology clinician teacher (intern), five specialised oncology nurses, and two therapeutic radiographers. Moreover, you will be working alongside specialists across numerous other disciplines such as Surgery, Internal Medicine, Emergency and Critical Care, Neurology, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Anaesthesia, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and others, to provide the best possible care for each and every patient.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week).

The salary for this post starts at ** 50,253 (UE08) or 63,606 (UE09) per annum** according to experience plus Market Force Supplement (reviewed annually, currently 8%), and CPD allowance.

Your skills and attributes for success:

Post-graduate experience and further qualification in Small Animal Oncology, at ECVIM or ACVIM Diploma-holder level (board certified, or board eligible)
A degree registrable with the RCVS
Experience in teaching, learning and assessment in a veterinary school
An ability to work alone but also to supervise and instruct colleagues and students
Demonstrable research output (clinical and/or basic science/translational)
Appropriate English language certificate
