Summary of Job Duties:

The Registered Nurse (RN) performs telephonic patient triage using decision-making software, assists with patient consults and transports, uses videoconferencing equipment for telemedicine operations. The RN practices within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures and standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with associate degree or Nursing Diploma,
• Valid RN License
• 5 years of Registered Nursing experience, excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Nursing or Master's in Nursing
• Preferred Experience: Critical Care, ED experience, Phone Triage, Hospital Transfer, Case Coordination, Telephone etiquette, Labor and Delivery or High Risk antepartum service.

Job Requirements:

• Conduct virtual patient assessments via phone or video.
• Review symptoms, medical history, medications, and vital signs reported by patients.
• Provide nursing advice, education, and self-care instructions.
• Triage patients and determine the appropriate level of care.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, labs, and follow-up care.
• Monitor chronic conditions and follow up with patients.
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient communications in the EHR.
• Follow clinical protocols, privacy requirements, and telehealth policies.
• Identify urgent or emergency symptoms and direct patients to appropriate in-person or emergency care.
• Perform medication reconciliation and provide medication-related education within nursing scope.
• Make follow-up calls and participate in care-management programs, depending on the position.
