TITLE:

Research Senior Technician

A Research Technician 3 position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Nandini Acharya within the Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology (PIIO) at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. The laboratory studies interactions between the nervous and immune systems in cancer and investigates mechanisms that influence tumor development, progression, metastasis, and anti-tumor immunity.

The successful candidate will provide entry-level research support and assist with laboratory operations, animal studies, sample processing, data collection, and basic molecular and cellular biology techniques under the supervision of senior laboratory personnel.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; alternatively 4 years relevant experience with HS diploma, 2 years with Associate's degree, or 0 years with Bachelor's degree.
  • Coursework in biology, neuroscience, immunology, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous laboratory experience is helpful but not required.
  • Must be able to learn new techniques, maintain accurate records, and work effectively in a collaborative research environment.

The Acharya Lab is a part of the OSUCCC James Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology (PIIO). The PIIO is a comprehensive bench-to-bedside research initiative focused on harnessing the body s immune system to fight cancer at all levels from prevention to treatment and survivorship.
