Research Senior Associate - Comprehensive Cancer Center

Position Summary

Research Senior Associate to assist and support scientific investigation to study human cancer as directed in the Comprehensive Cancer Center; oversees and maintains accurate records of laboratory activities; assists with training of junior research staff, and undergraduate and graduate students in research methods and equipment operation; assists PI and communicate with collaborators and physicians and operate lab; Assist PI with grant preparation, especially administrative documents including Biosketches, facilities, LOS, and communications with HR and grant managers, etc.; assists principal investigator with the preparation of publications, manuscripts, articles, posters, and abstracts; conducts library research on requested topics through researching current literature; oversees and maintains accurate records of laboratory activities; assists with training of junior research staff, and undergraduate and graduate students in research methods and equipment operation; sets up and operates laboratory equipment; monitors research supply, including specimens, inventory and initiates procurement requests as needed.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or Master's Degree and 1 year of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
