Job description

Assisting the professor with research and related duties in a project on faculty governance and fiduciary duties of university administrators. Duties will include preparation of critical bibliographies and literature reviews, case briefs, statutory review, citation checking, copy-editing, photocopying, and mailing.

Qualifications

JD/BCL candidate in Year 2 or above; Ideally, should be taking or have taken Business Associations or a related course; Good organizational skills and copy-editorial knowledge; Prior coursework in or knowledge of political or legal theory and philosophy, theology or religious studies, and/or history is desirable. Other languages (especially French, German, Latin, Spanish, Italian) also valuable.

Assister le professeur dans ses travaux de recherche et les t ches connexes dans le cadre d un projet portant sur la gouvernance universitaire et les obligations fiduciaires des administrateurs universitaires. Les t ches comprendront la pr paration de bibliographies critiques et d analyses documentaires, la r daction de r sum s de jurisprudence, l examen des textes l gislatifs, la v rification des citations, la relecture, la photocopie et l envoi postal.

Profil recherch

tudiant en droit (JD/BCL) en deuxi me ann e ou au-del ; id alement, en train de suivre ou ayant suivi le cours Business Associations ou un cours connexe ; bonnes comp tences organisationnelles et connaissances en r vision de textes ; des cours suivis ou des connaissances en th orie et philosophie politiques ou juridiques, en th ologie ou en sciences religieuses, et/ou en histoire sont souhaitables. La ma trise d autres langues (notamment le fran ais, l allemand, le latin, l espagnol et l italien) constitue galement un atout.
