Opportunity Overview

TITLE: Research Aide and Interviewer

The clinical research assistant will support a single ongoing research project by conducting participant enrollment sessions, cleaning data, and performing other laboratory tasks. The clinical research assistant will perform all project tasks following an established protocol with general guidance from the principal investigator. The clinical research assistant will also collaborate with the rest of the project team to identify problems that arise, and determine how to address them with the principal investigator. Finally, this person will assist in training new lab members on conducting enrollment sessions.

This position is contingent upon funding and will end on or before one year of employment, with possibility of renewal based on continued availability of funding and performance.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree preferred.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Pay Range:

$15.15-$17.00

Salary will be based off of education, experience, internal equity, and budget allowance.

Essential Job Duties

80% - Enrolling Participants

  • Meets remotely with adolescent and young adult potential participants via web-conferencing for an initial enrollment session.
  • Tasks during the session include re-assessing eligibility, obtaining consent/assent, and reviewing the study protocol.
  • Works with PI and program manager to document enrollment details.

15% - Data Cleaning

  • Helps prepare collected data for analyses.
  • Tasks including line-by-line review to confirm data completeness, assigning codes to qualitative data, and conducting preliminary descriptive statistics.

5% - Additional Research Work

  • Other duties as assigned to support the research project (e.g., literature reviews, data analysis, proof-reading surveys, training new team members).
