The Role

The School of Engineering and Built Environment, part of the College of Business, Technology and Engineering, is home to a vibrant community of academics, researchers, and industry professionals across a wide range of engineering disciplines. What We're Looking For

Applicants should have an understanding of current and emerging trends within robotics and automation, together with an awareness of the opportunities and challenges facing the sector both nationally and internationally. During the selection process, candidates will be invited to demonstrate how their professional knowledge and experience can be applied to inspire and develop future robotics engineers.

Our teaching laboratories utilise ABB industrial robotic systems, therefore experience of working with ABB robots, robot programming, system integration, or relevant industry certifications would be advantageous, although not essential.

No Previous Teaching Experience? No Problem.

You will be a key member of the Electrical Electronic and Future Technologies team, helping to maintain and to expand the success of the department's courses in this area. Our courses are highly regarded across the profession and founded upon over 30 years of related teaching here at SHU.

The School

The School of Engineering and Built Environment is arranged into a number of subject areas: Electrical, Electronic and Future Technologies, Mechanical Engineering, Future Transportation, Built Environment, and Energy, Infrastructure and Environment.
