About the opportunity
Lead the development of HR data governance, data quality and workforce management capabilities, partnering across HR and enterprise stakeholders to embed sustainable data practices that strengthen workforce planning, support strategic decision-making and enable the successful delivery of key transformation initiatives across the University.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Lead the development and implementation of HR data governance, ownership frameworks, and data management practices to support workforce management, workforce planning, and strategic HR decision-making.
- Drive HR data quality uplift initiatives, overseeing data profiling, cleansing, validation, and remediation activities to ensure readiness for procurement, solution design, testing, migration, and deployment.
- Partner with HR, digital, ICT, and enterprise stakeholders to align data standards, ownership, integration requirements, and source-of-truth decisions across key workforce systems and platforms.
- Establish sustainable HR data management capabilities, embedding governance routines, quality controls, stewardship responsibilities, and accountability frameworks that transition successfully into BAU operations.
- Ensure workforce management products, operating models, and business processes are underpinned by robust data standards, governance controls, reporting requirements, and clear decision-making frameworks.
- Represent HR and workforce data priorities across enterprise programs and governance forums, supporting procurement, solution evaluation, implementation readiness, and alignment with broader university transformation initiatives.
About you
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience, with requirements considered alongside demonstrated work experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading HR data governance, data ownership, stewardship, and data quality uplift initiatives, ideally within complex organisations undergoing workforce, HR, or technology transformation.
- Strong knowledge of HR, workforce management, and people data, including workforce planning, payroll, organisational structures, position and worker data, scheduling, time and attendance, compliance, and reporting.
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders, architects, and technology teams to align data governance, integration, architecture, and business requirements while influencing outcomes across multiple workstreams.
- Experience designing operating models, governance frameworks, and sustainable business processes that embed accountability, ownership, and data management practices beyond project delivery.
- Strong project leadership and delivery capability, with experience supporting technology procurement, solution evaluation, data migration, implementation readiness, and transition to BAU while managing risks, dependencies, and cross-program alignment.
