Summary of Job Duties:

The Extra Help Assistant is responsible for providing unskilled, semi-skilled labor or performing basic office tasks in a state agency or institution. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

The selected individual is expected to participate in entomology laboratory works and various entomological partners pertaining to honey bee management, primarily with a focus on rearing honey bee pest insects in the laboratory facility and application of honey bee projects. The selected individual is expected to communicate observations involving rearing and applying projects with advisor.

Qualifications:

Agriculture in major concerning pollinators, honey bees and related insects. Experience performing bee health research, especially concerning parasitology.
