Eligibility

The Role and the Department

Durham University

Department of Computer Science and the Institute for Data Science have secured multiple research projects within the remit of Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI) upskilling. These projects aim to create an upskilling landscape for the whole UK HPC community. This includes creating material for this upskilling, organising upskilling events, understanding the needs and requirements of the target groups and notably establishing a community around HPC, skills and continuous professional development both for the people creating material and colleagues benefitting from it.

The post is eligible for hybrid working in line with University arrangements, and flexible working requests will be considered.

Service Delivery

  • Contribute to equality, diversity and inclusion and the University s values.
  • Respond to queries and provide information/advice, while raising more specialist or complex queries with more experienced team members.
  • Use your experience and problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve issues relevant to your role such as streamlining of logistics or outreach activities and make recommendations based on your findings.

Secondment and Visa Information

The post is full time, fixed term until 31st March 2028 and may be offered on an internal secondment basis subject to the agreement of the current line manager.
