About The Role

The Neurological Data Platform (NDP) is an international trusted research platform delivered by Swansea University through the Secure e-Research Platform (SeRP). Building on the established capabilities of the DPUK Data Portal, NDP supports neurological research programmes and data hubs by providing secure infrastructure, data onboarding and curation, governance, discovery, access and analytical services. It brings together complex cohort, clinical, imaging, genomic and other research data so that approved researchers can discover and analyse them within secure and governed environments.

The Neurological Data Platform Data Manager will provide operational leadership for data management across the portfolio. The post holder will ensure that data acquisition, receipt, validation, processing, documentation, storage, release and ongoing stewardship are coordinated, visible and delivered to agreed standards.

The role requires substantial experience of managing complex cohort or health research data. Experience of dementia, ageing or neurological cohort data is desirable.

The post holder will combine technical understanding with strong operational leadership, stakeholder management and the ability to establish clear controls, priorities and management information.

Welsh Language Skills

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
