AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $33.83 ou/or $53.31 (Sept. 2026 - Aug. 2027)

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.

Requirements and Nature of Work:

65-hour RA contract with Professor Timothy Stanley.

Documenting Chinese Exclusion: Digitizing the C.I.-44 Database:

Description of Tasks:

  1. Create a Google Sheets Database listing the key elements of the C.I.-44 forms.
  2. Search through the on-line PDF and pull out all residents of the City of Montreal and the Province of Qu bec.
  3. Link the on-line locations to each entry in the Google Sheets database.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a PhD student in Education holding an entrance scholarship;
  2. Knowledge of people and things Chinese including of Chinese history, Chinese Canadian history, Overseas Chinese history, or of the history of racism in Canada;
  3. Familiarity with historical naming practices in Guangdong province; and
  4. Knowledge of spreadsheets.
