Winter 2027 Course Lecturer Position

The Department of Economics is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2027. Please include your Cover Letter and Curriculum Vitae and if applicable a copy of your Study/Work Permit. A brief course outline is optional.

ECON 305-001 Industrial Organization (3 Credits CAP 90)

The course analyzes the structure, conduct, and performance of industries, particularly but not exclusively in Canada. Topics include effects of mergers, barriers to entry, product line and promotion policies, vertical integration, and R & D policies of firms.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

Doctoral level study in Economics, including completed comprehensive examinations for the PhD, or completed PhD degree in Economics;
Evidence of highly effective teaching ability or of superior communications skills and potential for teaching excellence;
The candidate's area of specialization should be as close as possible to that of the course being offered;
Experience as a teaching assistant for a course is an asset.

Friday 11:35 am-02:25 pm, January 5, 2027 April 14, 2027. Location: RPHYS 118.

Salary:

$11,824 per course.
