Course Description

Specialized theoretical and practical approach to the design and implementation of systems related to medical diagnosis. The design process includes the integration of state of the art tools and technologies to acquire, analyze and process vital medical signals. Translating theory into industrial medical diagnostic products and services. Introduction to artificial intelligence and its applications to problems of medical diagnosis. Engineering technologies (biosensors, diagnostic imaging, lab tests, etc) and medical diagnostic process (signs and symptoms) will be integrated and combined in one engineering process to create intelligent and fully automated medical diagnostic systems.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Candidate profile:

  • PhD in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline with specialization.
  • Strong background and demonstrate expertise in the subject matter.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensing as professional engineers with a Canadian engineering regulator.
