The opportunity

If you have experience in student accommodation and are looking for an opportunity where you can combine operational expertise, data analysis and customer service within a large and diverse university, this is an opportunity to play a key role ensuring our students have access to the right accommodation throughout their time at University of the Arts London (UAL).

As Allocations Coordinator, you will manage the allocation process across UAL s student halls portfolio, helping us make the best use of available rooms while delivering an excellent service to current and prospective students. You will monitor occupancy and room availability, manage accommodation requests and more complex cases, and help plan for the different student groups requiring accommodation throughout the year.

This is a varied role which oversees areas including data analysis, void and occupancy management, room moves, contract releases. You will work closely with accommodation providers, colleagues across UAL and other key partners. You will also produce management information and student demand data to identify trends, improve processes and help maximise occupancy across the portfolio.

You will act as a key point of contact for accommodation-related enquiries and issues, handling complaints and complex cases professionally and fairly. As an experienced user of accommodation systems, you will also contribute to system administration, troubleshooting, training and the ongoing development of effective processes and services.

Your profile

You will bring experience of managing or supervising a student accommodation allocations function, including offer cycles, occupancy management and void control. You will be confident producing and interpreting management information, identifying trends in student demand and using insight to improve services.

You will also have experience of handling complex accommodation processes and casework, together with strong organisational and communication skills. Comfortable balancing competing priorities during busy periods, whilst remaining calm under pressure. You will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Experience using accommodation or university systems such as Kinetic, Agresso (ABW) or SITS would be particularly relevant.

You will bring sound judgement, a commitment to excellent student service and the ability to identify practical improvements that make processes more efficient and improve the overall student experience.
