Salary & Funding

Typical Starting Pay: $23.25 - $30.00. BYU automatically contributes 8% to 401k (with employee 5% contribution, BYU adds an additional 4%). Other benefits include employee assistance program, potential tuition benefits, library access, free parking, UTA passes, and discounts.

Administrative Assistant Academic Programs Kennedy Center

This position provides administrative and program support for the Kennedy Center s academic programs. Responsibilities include coordinating with academic program coordinators, supporting the Kennedy Center Lecture Series and other events, assisting with student outreach and internships, and providing general office support. This role works with faculty, students, guest lecturers, and campus partners and requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Note: This is a part-time position (28) hours per week.

What you ll do in this position:

  • Coordinate with academic program coordinators and respond to program-related inquiries
  • Create, format, and distribute academic program newsletters
  • Support social media content and communications
  • Coordinate logistics for the Kennedy Center Lecture Series and other events, including scheduling, rooms, AV, and event-day support
  • Arrange guest speaker travel and process honorarium payments
  • Lead Kennedy Center tours, class visits, and student outreach activities
  • Maintain internship resources and identify new internship opportunities for students
  • Meet with students to discuss internship opportunities and lead information sessions
  • Provide front desk and general administrative support as needed
